August 13, 2020 FREQUENCY BAND 57-64 GHZ AS FREE SPECTRUM

On May 9, 2017, was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation a DECREE by which the Plenary of the Federal Institute of Telecommunications classifies the 57-64 Ghz frequency band as free spectrum and issues the technical conditions for operation.

In order to obtain a growth in the telecommunications sector and help reduce the digital gap in our country, this determination allows the frequency band to be used by the general public, without the need for a concession or authorization.

It is important to mention that, according to the law, the equipment used in that frequency band must not cause harmful interference and must comply with the other technical operating conditions allowed by the Federal Telecommunications Institute.
